Full Length CE Courses

Your Special Smiles Special Care Series

We have learned things along the way, and we want to share. We have partnered with various individuals and entities to bring you info-packed courses with personal touch. All courses are based on our clinical experiences and/or patients' lives. We do not claim to be experts teaching you, but rather friends sharing experiences and our "homework".  We hope you enjoy our courses.  Some of our courses are PACE accredited through Elevate Oral Care and some are simply for the sake of learning.

Course Summary: Dr. Brooke lost a significant amount of function in her dominant hand and had to spend a short time on LTI. Dr. Trish Howard is the physical therapist  who came to the rescue. She also taught Dr. Brooke preventative strategies to help avoid this problem and other problems in the future. As special care providers both doctors know that "ideal ergonomics" is not always possible in special care  or portable care. Dr. Brooke an Dr. Howard decided to co-create a CE course for providers like them who have to adapt to unique positions and situations .  Dr. Howard treats a wide variety of patients, including patients who have special healthcare needs. Adaptation is part of her everyday.  In this course, Dr. Brooke presents challenges for Dr. Howard and Dr. Howard works through each challenge for the best ergonomic solution. Dr. Howard also will teach basic principles to apply to any situation.  The course concludes stretching together focusing on muscles that Dr. Howard thinks are especially important for what we do.

She also has her Vestibular Certification, Graston Certification, and has been trained in dry needling.  Dr. Howard is a co-owner of Primary Therapy Source in Twin Falls, Idaho.
